Been way too long since i posted in here but, that’s something that will change, have some surprises coming 😉
Well, small update, now i’m the Microsoft Student Partner of my “university”, and some of the surprises are related to that. A lot of work to be done but i’m trying to conciliate it with this blog.
On another note, got a new phone, an LG Quantum with Windows Phone 7 (being a MSP rocks!), this keeps blowing my mind every day, i just love it. I already have some ideas for apps that i want to create, that’s when i got this stupid error that delayed my Windows Phone programing experience some days, if you want to run your code in your device, you need to unlock your phone for development. I’ve run into some troubles while trying to set my Live account as a Developer (requirement for the unlocking procedure), as a lot of other people already had and will (probably) so, i’m going to cover that up in here.
“We’re sorry, an error has occurred.
We have detected an error while processing the page you were looking for. We apologize for the inconvenience. Please try again. “
Note: I’m an university student eligible for the Dreamspark Student accounts, i don’t really know if the process is different if you try to create a individual or company account in App Hub.
Anw, this error may occur if your Windows Live account information doesn’t match the information in your Xbox Live account, according to the Windows Phone Developer Support Team. Resuming it, you just have to:
- Go to http://www.xbox.com
- Click My Accounts
- Click Update Billing Account Information
- Re-Enter password
- Open http://accounts.live.com/ in another tab.
- Verify if the information you entered in App Hub matches the information in your live account.
- They also advice you to clean your cache and/or using another browser if that doesnt work.
There you go, simple and sweet, create some apps and show me, you can get my contacts here!
That’s all for today,
